Manna House is a community project of the Figtree Anglican Church. The aim of this project is to reach out to the less fortunate in our community by sharing of time, food and the opportunity for fellowship. Manna House Vision Statement A place to belong, providing food, friendship and hope for the future Manna House achieves this vision in two particular ways, one is by providing a safe haven at the church where every Thursday a group of volunteers prepare a meal and coffee while another group get together with a mobile van (Manna on the Move) and go out into the community and serve a meal and coffee to anyone who turns up. Both groups work hand in hand to achieve these goals.
Typical of being in the community and serving a meal and providing an area for getting together for a chat with "Manna on the Move"
| Manna is fortunate to have volunteers who provide not only most of the supplies used but are also supported by local businesses who give generously in providing goods at discount rates or by donation. This allows Manna to serve many more people than would otherwise be possible. | | Yes, we provide transport from Unanderra Railway Station to the church each and every Thursday from 5pm and returning to the station at 7pm. |
